Itinerary
Day 1
Morning session: bike set up; use of brakes; use of gears; hill climbing.
Afternoon session: descending; cornering; bringing it all together - riding green and blue graded trails
Day 2
Morning Session: trail obstacles: lifting the front wheel, lifting the rear wheel
Afternoon Session: riding rock, roots and drops; bringing it all together – riding blue and red grade trails
How difficult is this course?
Only a basic level of general fitness is required – the course is not intended to be an endurance test! If you can ride your bike at a leisurely pace for around 2 hours, you should easily complete the course.
How many people will be on the course?
A maximum of six people per course ensures our instructors can give you their personal attention and maintains a friendly atmosphere within the group.
What do I need to bring?
- Bike
- Helmet
- Clothing suitable for riding, including a waterproof jacket
- Basic tools and spares – spare inner tubes, bike pump, multi-tool
- Packed lunch
- Snacks and drinks

2 days mountain bike instruction by a qualified tutor
1 nights Bed & Breakfast accommodation can be arranged for an additional £35 per person, based on two people sharing)
